SUMMER SCHEMES 2026

Breckenhill is hosting two summer schemes this year. There will be a junior (ages 8-11) and a senior (ages 12-16) scheme, running on separate weeks.

Junior Summer Scheme – Monday 20th July to Friday 24th July    – 10:00am to 4:00pm

Senior Summer Scheme – Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August  – 10:00am to 4:00pm

The schedule for the schemes will utilise all the facilities and activities at Breckenhill with the aim of giving the children an enjoyable and educational week.

Junior Week

Intro to Outdoor Skills (Monday) – Bushcraft, Low Ropes & Trikes

Water Day (Tuesday) – Kayaking, Raft-Building & Catapults

Action & Adventure Day (Wednesday) – Splatmaster, Bushcraft & Pizza Making

Explorers Day (Thursday) – Orienteering, Man Hunt & Cube

Celebration & Prizegiving (Friday) – Final Projects, Scavenger Hunt & Free Choice

Senior Week

Team Building Day (Tuesday) – Orienteering, Splatmaster & Raft-Building

Survival Day (Wednesday) – Low Ropes, Advanced Bushcraft & Initiative Tests

Challenge Day (Thursday) – Drumadarragh Challenge (Navigation Command Exercise) & Initiative tests

Celebration & Prizegiving (Friday) – Final Projects, Archery & Free Choice
